Daily husbandry work and health cases

Recurring tasks fill a daily board for each room, and sick animals are reported from a phone with a photo for the vet to review.

Tasks, room checks and health cases come with the Institution plan, priced for each facility.

The task board for one day: an overdue cage change at the top, then each room's room check, water checks and cage-wash temperature, with who finished each task and when.

Recurring tasks

Room checks, water checks, feeding and other tasks repeat every few days or on set weekdays.

Cage changes come from each cage's next change date.

Recurring tasks: a daily room check for each room, a water check for each aquatic system, frog feeding on Mondays and Thursdays, and a daily cage-wash temperature check with its 143 to 180 °F range.

Today's board

The board lists each room's work for the day, with overdue tasks at the top.

Each task records who finished or skipped it and when, and a skip needs a reason.

The task board on a phone: an overdue cage change with Open cage, Done and Skip, then the Aquatics room's checks.

Room checks

A room check records temperature, humidity, whether the lights are on schedule, and notes on feeding and deaths.

Saving it marks that room's check done on the board.

The daily room check on a phone for the Procedure Room: temperature 22.4 °C, humidity 46%, lights on schedule, and a note.

Sick-animal reports with a photo

Staff and lab members report a problem from a phone with the signs they saw, a severity, a note and a photo.

The new case goes to the vet's Health list.

The vet reviews the case

The vet opens each case with its signs, note and photo, from a computer or a phone.

Assessments, treatments and notes

The vet adds assessments and treatments to the case timeline, sets it to monitoring, and closes it with an outcome.

Technicians add follow-up notes to the same timeline.

Alerts in the app

A new health case and an out-of-range water reading each add an alert.

A daily check adds alerts for cage changes due, tanks over density and protocols near their limits or expiry.

Alerts sorted by severity: two new health cases and an out-of-range water reading, each with a link to the record.
